CALL TO WORSHIP
Psalm 89
Leader: I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever;
People: with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all
generations.
Leader: I will declare that your love stands firm forever,
People: that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.
Leader: For who in the skies above can compare with the Lord?
People: You, Lord, are mighty, and your faithfulness surrounds you.
Leader: Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne;
People: love and faithfulness go before you.
Leader: Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of
your presence.
People: For you are their glory and strength.
*OPENING SONG OF PRAISE
“Ancient of Days”
Every tongue in heaven and earth
Shall declare Your glory
Every knee shall bow at Your throne in worship
You will be exalted O God
And Your Kingdom shall not pass away,
O Ancient of Days
O Ancient of Days
O Ancient of Days
*PRAYER OF CONFESSION
God of grace and love, we confess that we have failed to love you with our whole heart,
soul, mind and strength. We have not loved our neighbor as ourselves. We ignore your
commandments, stray from your ways, and follow after other gods. Have mercy on us.
Forgive our sin and purify our hearts that we may serve you faithfully and honor your
holy name. Amen
