Lit fires on hilltops sighted. Numerous trees felled. Some of
the smaller buildings missing roofs but structures largely
intact. More robust buildings appeared unaffected. Roads
open. Telecommunications masts intact.
All of the buildings appear to have sustained damage. The
thatched buildings are almost destroyed whilst those built
using corrugated/ sheet metal are largely intact. Many
boats wrecked but fishing activities continuing. Several
trees felled. Evidence of flooding.
