Constellation Project- Choose a minimum of 100 points ( EXTRA CREDIT IS ALLOWED). Constellation Board Game- 80 pts An adventure through space, a trivia tour of the stars, or get creative! Constellation Rap Video - 80 pts Must be done on at least ½ size poster board. Must include a minimum of 15 constellations (either on cards or on board). Must include a minimum of 20 question cards, and answers must be provided in some form. Show off your rap skills as you create an educational, fact-filled rap about the stars. The rap should include the names of at least 10 constellations, with at least one fact or detail about each. The video may be presented to the class. Children’s Book- 100 pts Author your own myths and tales about the stars in the sky! Use photos of parts of the nighttime sky full of stars, outline (connectthe-dots) your constellation, and create a short story that goes along with it. Your book must include at least 10 constellations (that you create, not ones that exist) with a story and illustration for each. Zodiac Mobile- 70 pts Create a mobile that features the 12 constellations of the zodiac. Directions for making a mobile can be found on many DIY and craft sites online. Various 10 pt Options Infographic- 30 points Create an infographic on one of the topics below (one page, illustrations, and information presented in a concise manner); must be in color, pleasant to the eye, and present the information succinctly. Zodiac constellations 12 other major constellations Major meteor showers throughout the year and the constellations they pass through (must include dates) Illustrate a constellation (not a zodiac) and label the major stars with name, magnitude, and number of light years away. Make a set of 5 constellation discs by cutting circles out of posterboard or cardstock and punching holessmall holes for small stars and larger holes for larger stars. Label.
