LA-Z-BOY HONORED WITH RMHC OUTSTANDING STEWARDSHIP AWARD
Charity’s Official Furniture Provider Saluted for Global Support; Past Recipients Include Southwest
Airlines, McDonald’s Corp. and The Coca-Cola Company
Oak Brook, Ill., (Wednesday, August 28, 2013) – La-Z-Boy was honored last week at the Ronald McDonald
House Charities® (RMHC®) International Conference as the 2013 recipient of the RMHC Outstanding Stewardship
Award. Through this Award, the family-centered nonprofit recognizes corporations whose commitment and
support exceeds expectations in helping to support the mission of the Charity.
La-Z-Boy began its support of RMHC in 2008 with the donation of furniture to RMHC Chapters in the USA
and Canada. Since then, the company has increased its support extending its donation to RMHC Chapters in
Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. With the donation of over 5,000 pieces of furniture to date, the Company
and its network of owners have been an integral part of the Charity’s ability to provide comfort, care and
compassion to families and their children through the Ronald McDonald House® and Ronald McDonald Family
Room® programs.

RMHC selects and formally recognizes a corporate donor for their extraordinary contributions to the
Charity and its local Chapters at this conference which hosts over 1400 RMHC staff, board members and
volunteers from over 40 countries and regions. Previous recipients of the Award include McDonald’s Corporation®,
The Coca-Cola Company®, and Southwest Airlines®.
