Loves Queen Guinevere Galahad- Launcelot’s son and is a knight in king Authors court. Is the Holy Knight Sir Percival-Boy who was found in woods and is now a very highly regarded knight. Sir Bors- Very friendly knight and is friends with everyone. Is very religious Dindrane- Percival’s sister is a woman who serves god and is a Nun. Naciens-an old hermit and is a very religious man Summary Sir Launcelot is on quest to find his way back to the castle of Carbonek to find the maiden with the Holy Grail. However can’t find it so he takes shelter in a chapel In the chapel he sleeps and awakens to see Naciens with a sick knight The sick knight touches the Holy Grail and he is healed instantly Naciens then sees Launcelot and says that a major sin is keeping him from the Holy Grail. Launcelot then goes back to sleep and then once again awakens. Launcelot confesses his major sin and that is his relation ship with Queen Guinevere. Naciens then comes back and says that Launcelot has committed many honorable deed and that he should not let one sin ruin him. They talk further and they decide that God can forgive Launcelot for his sins Launcelot then departs from the chapel and meets a white knight and they have a friendly joust Launcelot looses and is in shock because Galahad is the only knight that can beat Launcelot in a joust Launcelot then chases after Galahad and find him on a ship with Sir Pervicale and Sir Bors. Launcelot gets on the enchanted ship and they continue on their quest to find the Holy Grail. The ship then stops and everyone departs from the ship. On the way to the holy grail they meet a woman named Drindane. Drindane is a woman who serves God and she is very holy. The group allows her to come along and they soon arrive at a castle. At the castle the knights grab Drindane and say she must offer as much blood to fill the bowl. The knights then furiously defend her and they have a massive brawl with the other knights from the kingdom. The King then breaks up the fight and welcomes the knights inside with a feast. When they are welcomed inside they see why every women that passes must offer her blood. They find out that there is a sick princess who has been cursed. The curse is that until she gets the blood of a woman that serves God. Drindane then offers the princess her blood and the princess is healed. Drindane however looses too much blood and dies on the enchanted ship. Sir Launcelot then finds out that a knight is in desperate need for help and he departs. Sir Galahad and Sir Bors depart from the castle, but they return a little while later to find the castle a big pile of ashes. They then conclude that the fires of heaven punished them for killing of maidens. Sir Galahad and Sir Bors then officially leave and continue on their quest for the mysterious castle if Carbonek. Pictures to Illustrate Chapter Sir Launcelot and Queen Guinevere are having a affair. This affair is a sin and it is keeping Launcelot from the Holy Grail. Naciens the hermit angel looks down on Lancelot and says that Launcelot will never be able to achieve the holy grail because of his affair with Queen Guinevere.
