BAND ON TOUR NOW
New York, NY – March 25, 2014 – It’s finally here!
The Colourist release their self-titled full-length debut in stores and through all digital retailers
today through Republic Records. “The Colourist” features the Orange County quartet’s lead-off
single “We Won’t Go Home” and buzz track “Little Games”.
Last week, the band partnered with Billboard.com to premiere the album in its entirety, giving
the world a very special preview of their shimmering, soaring alternative pop. Right now, it's also
streaming on MSN.com's "Listening Booth". You can hear it for yourself here! In addition,
Yahoo! Music debuted the entrancing music video for “We Won’t Go Home” on its home page
last Thursday. Take a watch now.
The Colourist’s success has been unprecedented across the board. From their critically
acclaimed Lido EP last year, “Little Games” cemented them as one of the most buzzed about
acts on the scene. It was named iTunes “Single of the Week”, garnering over 150,000
downloads. Meanwhile, Amazon dubbed it one of the “Best Songs of 2013”, and it went Top 30
at Alternative radio. The original recording as well as its St. Lucia, Yeasayer, and Magic Man
remixes hit #1 on HypeM—the same goes for The Chainsmokers’ remix of “Fix This”.
Moreover, “Little Games” entered hearts and minds in several high-profile ad campaigns, while
ABC’s Chasing Life and The CW’s Vampire Diaries placed “Yes Yes” during key scenes.
Last year’s Coachella saw The Colourist give a breakout performance, and they went on to
support the likes of The Naked and Famous, Panic! At The Disco, Metric, Atlas Genius, Fitz and
The Tantrums and more. Coming off show-stopping turns at SXSW 2014, they’re in the midst of
their first headline tour.
Music gets vibrant again with The Colourist.
