Obituary: Theodore Francis “Ted” Millett

Dateline: Alburgh, Vermont

Theodore “Ted” Millett, age 85 years, died unexpectedly Monday, March 2, 2015, at his Horican Avenue residence.

Born in Portland, Maine on, January 28,

1930, he was the son of the late Ralph

Francis and Mary Matilda (Gagne) Millett.

He was educated in Maine schools and married the former Pauline Pelkey who survives him.

A truck driver for most of his working life,

Ted was associated with Clarence Brown,

Inc., in Saint Albans City for 22 years.

Following his retirement he enjoyed auto body repair and woodworking.

He faithfully served his country in the

United States Army during the Korean Era and for 16 years in the Vermont Army

National Guard serving with the Bravo

Company 1 st 172 nd Armored Division of

Enosburgh Falls.

Besides his wife Pauline of nearly 50 years, Ted leaves his children, Julie St. Francis and her companion, Stanley Brown, Linda Jarvis and companion, Ray LaRocque, Edward

Lambert and wife, Sonja, Gary Lambert and wife, Tonya and Paula Banyea and husband,

Shawn, as well as Terry, Sheila, Sue, Nancy, Patsy, Theodore Jr., Jimmy and Betty-Jo; three sisters, Ann Bond, Shirley Ouellette and Linda Newman; six brothers, Everett and

Alfred Millett, Ronald, David, Stanley and Seldon Brown as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Ted was predeceased by a daughter, Jean Ann Felts and three brothers, Ralph and Norman Millett and Gilfred Brown.

Friends may call at The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton on Saturday,

March 7, 2015, from 2 to 4 p.m.

A Time of Remembrance and Sharing concluding with Military Honors will begin at 4 p.m.

Gifts in Ted’s memory may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society, 30 Sunset
