Mississippi Credit Union Hall of Fame
NOMINATION FORM
The Mississippi Credit Union Hall of Fame was established to recognize credit union leaders who have given
outstanding lifetime service on behalf of credit unions. In order to be considered for Hall of Fame induction, a person
must first be nominated. A suggested (but not concrete) guideline for nomination is 25+ years of service or unusual
achievements/service on behalf of credit unions. Mississippi Credit Union Hall of Fame categories include Lifetime
Volunteer Achievement (for volunteers, active or retired) and Lifetime Professional Achievement (for
executives/employees, active or retired).
Inductees are recognized at the MSCUA Annual Meeting & Convention. There may be multiple, single or no inductions
per category, per year. If a nominee is not selected for induction, it is not necessary to re-nominate them. Once a
person is nominated, their nomination remains active and their nomination is re-submitted each year for induction
consideration.

After this nomination form has been received, MSCUA will contact either a credit union designee or the nominee to
provide as many of the following details as possible regarding the nominee’s service to credit unions:
 Total years of service.
 Credit union employment or volunteer history, including all positions/titles held and dates held.
 Service to other credit union organizations at the chapter, state, regional or national level.
 Other credit union related achievements, recognitions or awards the nominee may have received.
 Characteristics that make the nominee or their service special or unique (i.e.: examples of leadership style,
personality traits, philosophy/beliefs, demonstrations of credit union philosophy in interactions with staff,
volunteers or members, personal stories or comments from others about the nominee, etc.)
 Achievements/milestones at the credit union that occurred during nominee’s tenure, such as:
o Credit union’s asset and member growth
o Services/innovations developed or implemented at the credit union in order to expand or better
deliver service to members
o Credit union’s involvement in community/volunteer service or outreach

Submit this form to nominate someone. Nominations are accepted at any time, but must be submitted no later
than FEBRUARY 15 of the current year in order to be considered for induction that year. Email completed form to
communications@mscua.com. Email submissions are preferred; however, faxed (601-981-4564) forms are also
accepted.
