Lynmouth Pavilion Heritage Placement – Oral History Job Title: Lynmouth Pavilion Heritage Placement – Oral History Job Type: Volunteer Placement aimed at 16-25 year olds Hours and location: 6-8 weeks, this can be done remotely or at Lynmouth Pavilion, North Devon. It can be done full-time in one solid chunk, or part-time spread over a longer period. The Lynmouth Pavilion Project is a three year Heritage Lottery Funded project that has recently entered its third year and the theme for this year is the ‘History of Tourism’. As part of the project we have a team of volunteers collecting memories of people’s lives across Exmoor which require editing to be accessible by the public. What’s involved? Editing collected oral histories for use in Exmoor National Park Centres and online. Cataloguing the oral histories. Possibly there may be a chance to record oral histories. Attending relevant training and induction What’s in it for you? Gaining experience of editing and cataloguing oral histories.
