After reading The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins, please create
your own “Mutation” combining two animals. Mutation is the act or
process of being altered or changed as in nature, form or quality.
Include the following about your mutation.
 Name of your mutation
 Describe the physical characteristics of your mutation
 Describe how your mutation will meet its basic needs of
finding food, water, shelter and hiding from danger
 Describe how your mutation adapts to the arena environment
 Include which two animals you combined to create your
mutation
 Explain how your mutation is it different from its parent
organisms
 Illustrate your mutation on a 22 in x 28 in poster board
Remember, the idea here is to show both your creativity and your
understanding of the book.
