Undergraduate and Graduate Fellowships The Office of Undergraduate and Graduate Fellowships provides advice and assistance to University of Nevada, Reno undergraduates, graduate students, and alum interested in applying for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. The Office of Undergraduate Fellowships is housed in the University Honors Program office in the Jot Travis Building, Room 11A. The Office of Undergraduate and Graduate Fellowships holds a series of fellowships information sessions each semester. The fall 2015 schedule is as follows. General Fulbright Information session: Wednesday, August 26, 2015, 3:00-4:30 pm, TBA Graduating seniors, graduate students, and students who are alum of the University of Nevada, Reno, are encouraged to attend to learn more about the Fulbright and the fellowship application process. Fulbright Writing Workshop #1: Friday, September 11, 2015, 3-5 p.m. in the Honors Program, Jot Travis Building, Room 11A. Any student planning to apply for a Fulbright student award (or other national fellowships) this fall is required to bring a draft of the Personal Statement and Proposed Program of Study to the workshop to share with faculty readers and other applicants. Fulbright Writing Workshop #2: Friday, September 18, 2015, 3-5 in the Honors Program, Jot Travis Building, Room 11A. Students who attended the Fulbright Writing Workshop #1 must bring final revisions of the essays. University of Nevada, Reno campus deadline: Wednesday, September 23, 2015, by 3 pm. All completed applications must be submitted through the Embark online application system (Fulbright website) with letters of recommendation by this date to be considered for a campus interview. Campus interviews are required of all applicants. Fulbright campus interviews begin the week of Monday, September 28, 2015 in the Honors Program, Jot Travis Building, Room 11A. A committee of faculty will complete a Fulbright campus evaluation for each Fulbright applicant who submits a Fulbright application and undergoes the interview. Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Information Session: Wednesday, October 7, 2015, 3:00 - 4:00 PM, TBA By Tuesday, October 13, 2015: The UNR Fellowship Program Advisor will forward all student applications and campus evaluations directly to Fulbright. General Fellowships Information Session: Tuesday, November 3, 2015, 3:00 pm, TBA Students interested in learning about other national fellowships and scholarships including the Goldwater, Truman, Udall, Rhodes, and Marshall are encouraged to attend this session to learn about various meritbased fellowships and scholarships and the application process.
