Bachelor Courses for Exchange Students IDE Semester 2 or Spring Semester 2014/2015 1. Bachelor Courses Industrial Design Engineering Within the bachelor program the academic year consists of four periods of each 10 weeks. During a period 2 courses are offered, each worth 7.5 ECTS. The IDE bachelor program is in Dutch, but a selected number of courses are offered in English. Bachelor courses are open to all admitted exchange students. The bachelor courses that will be offered are summarized in the table below. Each period has an A and a B course, which supplement each other in the time schedule. Therefore you can only take two courses per quarter e.g. courses that are given in Q3A and Q3B for the third quarter and Q4A and Q4B that are given in the 4th quarter. These courses can be taken as an elective. All courses are semester courses, which means they start in September and February. Students must sit a placement test before participating in any English course. This way we can establish which course and which level is most suitable for you. Placement tests are generally scheduled for the week before the start of a course, but can also be arranged the first week of your arrival. 2
