Memory’s Mist is the seventh installment of Cooper’s short stories about life growing up in the South. In addition to the reception and reading, there will be a book sale and book signing at the Salon. About the author: Jackie K Cooper is a film and book critic whose reviews appear on his personal website www.jackiekcooper.com, as well as rottentomatoes.com and huffingtonpost.com. His reviews also run in an assortment of newspapers in Georgia. In addition he is a featured guest on radio and TV shows across the South. He has his own weekly television show “The Jackie K Cooper Show” which runs on several cable channels in middle Georgia. Cooper is the author of six books: Journey of a Gentle Southern Man, Chances and Choices, Halfway Home, The Bookbinder, The Sunrise Remembers and Back to the Garden. He is one of the founders of the Southeastern Film Critics Association and is also a member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association. About the Lanier Center for Literary Arts Sidney Lanier (1842–1881) was a writer, poet, musician, soldier and mathematician. He was born in the Sidney Lanier Cottage at 935 High St. in Macon, Ga. In honor of Lanier’s legacy, Historic Macon Foundation, the owners of the Cottage, have established the Lanier Center for Literary Arts. In addition to sponsoring writers’ workshops and other literary events, Historic Macon has a regular series of book signings.
