Closing Check List SEQUENCE OF EVENTS FOR CONCESSION STAND INITIAL SEASON START UP AND SEASON CLOSE OUT March Inventory supplies and equipment Mid month – Place Initial Order with Suppliers for Food and Drinks Late month – Shop for Start up Supplies Late month – Set Concession Stand Schedule April Set up stand for Opening June Get Ready for All-Star Season July End of Month – Close and Clean Stand End of Month – Prepare for end of year Picnic CONCESSION STAND RULES FOR WORKERS The $20.00 concession stand service money will be refunded after you work two shifts in the Concession Stand. Both Shifts must be worked for the money to be returned. Anyone may work on behalf of the player/family (mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, uncle grandparent, neighbor, friend, etc.) Only children 14 years or older may work in the stand. (You must be 18 or older to work the fryer in Robinson) Only those scheduled to work will be allowed in the concession stand. NO CHILDREN ARE PERMITTED IN THE STAND AT ANY TIME. NO EXCEPTIONS! If you are unable to work the stand at your assigned time, it is your responsibility to find a replacement. Please arrive at least a half hour before the start of your assigned shift. Once your shift starts you are there to work. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN IN AND LEAVE…if you do so, your money will be forfeited. If each team does not have a worker in the stand by the start of the game…..the scheduled game will not start until there are people in the stand. If a game is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, you will be required to work the stand during the make-up game whenever it is scheduled. When it comes to running the stand we have no choice but to run it like a business. Montour baseball operates entirely by sign-up fees, sponsors and stand revenue. We receive no money from other entities. The concession stand revenue is a vital part of Montour Baseball. Without this revenue the league would not exist. Have a coach or board member unlock the door to the stand Open both side windows Make coffee (cold weather only) Plug In and turn on pizza oven Plug in and turn on hot dog rollers. Put at least 8 hot dogs on. (Replace as needed during shift) Plug in Microwave. Turn on Fryers. Turn on exhaust fan. Directions are above the fryers Turn on Icee Machine Put out condiments Set out the money drawer KENNEDY STAND 1. Sign In 2. Call for pizza immediately – order 3. 2 plain and 1 pepperoni 3. Make sure both bathrooms have toilet paper and paper towels stocked. 4. Make hot water and coffee to put in thermos. Make regardless of weather. Turn on Icee Machine. 5. Turn on hot dog cooker 6. Check that there are at least 3 ice packs in freezer. If not make 3 bags filled with ice. This is important in case of an accident. NOTE: We should try to have this fully stocked this year. 7. Cooks 9 soft pretzels in the toaster over and put in pretzel warmer. Do not make them in the microwave. 9 will fit in the oven at one time. Spray with water and salt prior to baking in the oven. 8. Put as many hot dogs as they fit on the hot dog cooker. (please make sure that the rollers are on and when hot dogs are done cooking change setting to low or keep warm. (they won’t go to waste given that the last night games are pushing 10 PM) Hot dogs are served in foil not plates. CLOSING CHECK LIST ROBINSON 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. Turn off and unplug pizza oven. Turn off and unplug hot dog roller Turn off and unplug microwave Turn off Fryer and exhaust fan. Turn off Icee Machine Wipe all counters down front and back Wipe of pizza oven, hot dog roller, microwave and around fryer. Unplug coffee pot Put Condiments away If you notice an item is low, please put a note on the bulletin board. Mop the floor Count the money, leave start up fees in the drawer, fill out nightly deposit sheet in binder. Place rest of the money in the money bag and put bag in drawer under Microwave. 13. LOCK ALL DOORS! 14. Double check everything is off and door are locked. 15. Take trash outside. Put in big bin outside the door. KENNEDY 1. Turn off Icee Machine (rinse and clean out the catch tray) 2. Turn off Pretzel warmer – Wipe Out Bottom 3. Turn off hot dog cooker – wipe down once cool 4. Check bathrooms – Empty Trash into big Garbage cans outside. Replace garbage bags in all garbage cans. 5. Make sure no coffee pots are left on. Clean them out 6. Make sure side windows are closed and locked – make sure back door is locked (one by freezer)
