Taste sensations at the 2014 Sydney Royal Easter Show
Tasty Sydney Royal cheese and deli plates, juicy corn on the cob, the freshest rock oysters and a
delicious tub of fruit salad – whatever ignites your tastebuds, you’ll find it at the 2014 Sydney
Royal Easter Show (the Show).
Showgoers will be licking their lips at the diverse selection of delicious food and beverage
experiences available at the Show.
New to the Show is a brand-new dining precinct in The Daily Telegraph Park. Showgoers will have
the chance to pull up a chair and rest their feet while they eat in comfort and style. The Daily
Telegraph Park will include over 800 chairs and lounges, 600 square metres of new undercover
dining space all within reach of eateries and bars such as Graze Alfresco, Sydney Royal Beer &
Wine Garden, and the brand new Sydney Royal Talk & Taste.
Sydney Royal Talk & Taste will give Showgoers the chance to meet the producers, talk to the
experts and taste medal-winning produce. This new and exciting addition will give food and wine
lovers their fix at the special ticketed sessions. There will also be live cooking demonstrations and
question-and-answer sessions, as well as a chance to purchase the products from the retail
provedore space.
Arena View @ Jamison, located in the Main Arena, is the ideal place to sit and enjoy a hearty
lunch or dinner before the entertainment program gets underway. Nestled in the Martin and
Angus Stand with sweeping views over the arena, this is the perfect vantage point to catch all the
action from the new, original production Australiana In All Its Glory, starting daily at 8pm.
Sydney Showground Executive Chef Tim Brown has designed the mouth-watering menus for the
Sydney Royal Café, Sydney Royal Beer & Wine Garden and Arena View @ Jamison.
“We are lucky to have an excellent range of Sydney Royal award-winning Australian produce to
work with. When creating a menu it is important to think about what produce is in season – it’s all
about getting the balance right, not just with the flavours but with the variety of food on offer,”
Mr Browne said.
For those that love their Show food, the newest craze to hit the Show is the Waffle Dog. A fresh take
on the Dagwood Dog, this tasty treat is a hot dog on a stick encased in a combination of a waffle and
pancake batter.
All your Show food favourites will be back including Chip on a Stick, Cheese on a Stick, Dino Rib, fairy
floss, freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade lemonade, the juicy corn on the cob, and more.
