Non-refereed Paper Specifications and Instructions TASA Conference 2011 The Technical Organising Committee invites you to submit abstracts for oral presentation in the form of a General Paper, or a Work-In-Progress Paper. Contributed non-refereed oral papers will be strictly limited to a presentation of a maximum ten minutes followed by five minutes for discussion. The best abstracts for contributed papers will be selected for presentation in one of the concurrent paper sessions. Abstract specifications Font: Title: Presenter: Co-authors: Affiliations: Text Body: Spacing: Length: Times New Roman 12pt Bold U/L case, centred 11pt Italics and Underline 11pt 10pt 11pt regular style, single spaced One line space under title and between author details and body of text Maximum 200 words Abstracts are required for all presentations. Please ensure you download and use the Abstract Template. How do I submit my abstract online? Step 1 Complete contact details of principal presenter then follow prompts through by pressing continue. NB: Full contact details will be published, and cannot be removed once submitted, so please think carefully before including personal contact details. Step 2 Add the abstract information as requested, then press save and continue. Step 3 Check that all information is correct and edit information if required, then press continue. Step 4 Record your personal access key and press continue. This access key will allow you to submit a revised abstract if necessary, submit additional abstracts, and register for the conference. Step 5 Acknowledgement page, please press continue. Step 6 This is where you must ‘upload’ your abstract submission from your system. Please browse your system to find your file and then select it. You are then ready to upload the file for submission. Step 7 Confirmation of the upload will appear if it has been successful. The process is now complete; by pressing continue you will return to the conference website. Click here to submit your Non-refereed paper abstract online. If you are unable to use the online submission facility, please contact Conference Solutions at tasa@con-sol.com to obtain a hard copy of the application process. What if I want to amend my abstract? If you wish to amend your abstract or submit another, please go to the ‘Speaker Zone’ on the conference website and enter your access key. This will then allow you to check to see if the upload was complete, submit a revised proposal if necessary and submit additional proposals. Amendments to proposals will only be permitted until Friday 16th September 2011. What happens after my abstract has been submitted? All abstracts will be submitted for a review process with notification of results sent via email from October 2011. Successful papers may also be invited to submit full papers for peer review and to be developed as a journal publication. Note to authors Authors of accepted abstracts submitted in response to the Call for Abstracts are expected to register and attend the conference. All expenses associated with this are to be covered by the presenter. A publication of conference proceedings will be provided to all delegates.
