Littlehampton services/ Worthing services
Community Services offer people a place to get support, information, and advice. It is provided
by staff and by people with lived experience of mental health problems who are trained to offer
individual and group support to others, and includes:
Peer Support – Peer mentors offer one to one support and encouragement to people along their
recovery journey, helping them to make positive changes for themselves.
Supporting Recovery – Support for people as individuals on their recovery journey. People can
access various opportunities and support on an educational, personal and social level. There are
also opportunities for individuals to access our 10 week Peer Support training which is accredited
by Laser Awards.
Complementary therapies are available to people who use our other services. Different
therapies are used at different centres, so ask for details. Sessions need to be booked in advance.

Up to 12 weeks of individual, support from a Community Links Worker who will work alongside
someone to identify and achieve their personal goals.
Access to a range of social groups, various activities, and a rolling programme of workshops to
aid someone’s recovery
Subsidised and/or free adult education opportunities.
Information about services in a local area, and support to access things in a local community.


Various training and volunteering opportunities
Access to apply to attend a 12 week course to obtain a nationally recognized qualification in

Corner House Resource Centre: Adur / Southwick
For anyone in the Adur community who is affected by mental illness, whether experiencing
symptoms themselves, or supporting a friend or family member.
Services:



service to help people identify what will improve their mental wellbeing;
mental health information, advice, signposting
a 'hands on' mental health service.
A range of activities are available: peer led social groups, art, photography, cookery and
discussion groups.
The service offers 1:1 appointments to draw up an individualised support plan to enable people to
set achievable goals and provide support to help start working towards them.
Help to access other specialist services such as clinical counselling, advice on specific benefits,
personal care and organic disorders such as dementia.
