SHERRI ANN (BUSHMAN) MYERS is a 1991 graduate of St. Edmond, and swam on the Dodger
Swimming team all four years of high school.
Sherri’s parents are Gerald and Carolyn Bushman, now of Walnut Creek, California; and brother Jamie,
a 1999 Fort Dodge Senior High graduate.
Sherri attended the University of Northern Iowa; and is now a realtor in Texas. She is married to Bryan
Myers and they have one child, 8 year old, Merrick.
Sherri swam all 4 years for the Dodgers under head coach Gary Winkler, still holding several school
records.
She was 1st team all state in the 100 breaststroke in 1987;
2nd team in the 50 freestyle in 1989;
2nd team in the 200 free relay in 1990,
2nd team in the 50 freestyle in 1990 and
1st team in the 200 medley relay in 1990.

DARIN ASTOR, 1992
Darin lives in Kansas City with his wife, Julie, He is currently a middle school health and physical
education teacher and coach at Turner Unified School District in Kansas City, Kansas; where he was the
Crystal Apple Award Nominee 2007. He received the Spirit Award at Parkhill School District in 03-04,
Kansas City, MO.
Darin’s parents are Gary and JoAnne Astor, still living in Fort Dodge and remaining active in the
Dodger community.
Darin articipated in football, basketball, track and baseball at Fort Dodge Senior High under the
direction of several famed Dodger coaches including Moser, Miller, Cook, Sandquist, Reissen, Kinseth,
Breffle, Fogarty, McNeil, Mason, Westphal and Woodley!
All-state accolades for Darin include:
honorable mention in baseball in 1991,
2nd team all state football, defensive back, in 1991;
and the following in track:
5th place, 4 x 400, 1990
2nd place, 4 x 800, 1991
3rd place, 4 x 400, 1991
1st place, 4 x 400, 1992
1st place, medley relay, 1992
1st place, 800 run, 1992
They were 3rd in the state as a team in 1992.
He competed in SEVEN state competitions – 1 football, 1 basketball, 4 track, and 1 baseball! Darin was
an 11-time varsity letter winner, 3-time Dutch Huseman award winner, and recipient of the Henry W.
Schultz Award.
The following Coe College Awards were won by Darin as well:

Darin’s most memorable athletic experience in high school was winning three events at the state meet in
1992 and graduation within the same week! … highlighted by coming across the finish line in the 4x400
captured by a Messenger photographer that exemplified everything they had worked so hard for.

RANDY KENT REINERS, 1995
Randy is married to his wife Sabina and he has 2 children – Ezra who is 13 and Mischa who is 2. They
currently reside in North Liberty, Iowa and Randy has been in sales with Mid Country Machinery for ten
years. He enjoys coaching his son in football and baseball!
In high school Randy participated in basketball, football, baseball and track under the tutelage of Rick
Sandquist, Sam Moser, John Bristol, Terry Paulson, Bob Breffle, Matt Miller, Bruce Hartley, Wayne
Mason, Ed McNeil & Dad (as the bat boy!)
Randy’s high school accolades include:
1st team football, QB in 1994;
1st team all state utility player in baseball in 1994;
1st team baseball, catcher, 1995;
2nd team in basketball in 1995;
high school Gatorade player of the year in 1995.
His most memorable experiences in high school were the playoffs in football competing against some of
the best athletes and schools in the state! Also, his great coaches and team members!
Randy attended the University of Iowa, graduating in 1999. He appeared in 3 bowl games, was captain
for many games, was the starting QB for 2 years (when not hurt!), and played in at least one game all 4
years. Inducted in 2008
STACEY LEIGH BERGMAN, 1996
Stacey’s parents, Don and Sue Bergman, are continuing on as successful business-people of Fort Dodge.
Stacey is currently living in Knoxville, Tennessee and working as a sales rep for Stryker Medical.
Stacey participated in volleyball, basketball and golf during high school under the guidance of Kim
Vaughn, Tom Kinseth, Mic Julson, Hans Goettsch, and Dawn Anderson. She was 3-time all conference
in basketball; 4 time conference champion in golf; 1st team all state in basketball in 1996; and the
following all state golf awards:

Stacey attended the University of Iowa and the University of Tennessee, graduating in December of

NCAA East All Regional 2000,
Team Captain ‘99 and 2000,

Professional golfer, exempt status;
LPGA Futures Tour 2001-2004;
US Open competitor in 2003. Inducted in 2008
MARK JAMES RIAL, 1996
His wife Lindsey and son Trace Christian, born July 14, 2008, reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Mark’s parents are Mike and Kristine, who remain active Dodgers here in town.
Mark was involved in football and wrestling in high school.
Highlights in wrestling are:
2X captain,
2X state champion,
runner-up,
state qualifier,
1st 4x CIML champ ever,
100 career pins,
all time win leader,
4X district champion,
Schultz Award winner,
2X high school All-American,
2 undefeated seasons.
Mark was coached by Ed Birnbaum, Tommy Thompson, Rod Riessen, Sam Moser, Matt Miller, and Bill
Boevers.
His most memorable part of high school was being on the same team with his older brother Matt as a
freshmen and being on the same team with his younger brother Pat as a senior!
Mark attended UNI, graduating in 2001.
At UNI he was 2001 NCAA qualifier,
1999 and 2001 West Regional Runner-up,
Captain wrestling team 2001,
3X letter winner,
2000-01 Leadership Award Winner,
2000-01 Most Improved Award Winner.
Following college graduation Mark was a US Olympic Training Center resident athlete;
2008 National Champion,
3rd in 2007 World Team Trials
3rd in 2005 World Team Trials
In 2008 ranked as high as 11th in the world
2004 and 2008 Iowa Wrestling Federal Senior Athlete of the Year
Mark is currently the University of Northern Iowa wrestling coach.

TERRY JAKE REINERS, 1997
Terry lives in Dubuque, Iowa, with his wife Emily and their daughter Grayce. His current occupation is
Inside Sales for Namasco, a multi-metal distributor; and he has coached baseball and basketball at Cedar
Falls High School.
Terry participated in football, baseball, basketball and track in high school; and was coached by Sam
Moser in football and track and Terry Paulson in basketball.
Terry’s high school honors include the following:
Schultz Award Winner,
many all conference awards;
and the following all state awards:
1st team football, defensive back, 1996
2nd team baseball, catcher, 1997
5th place in the 4x200 relay, in 1997
And STATE CHAMP in the long jump in 1997, which of course was his most memorable event along
with receiving the Schultz Award.
Terry attended The University of Northern Iowa, lettering in baseball 2 years, when they were
conference champs in 2001. Terry graduated in 2002.
