M+BS Faculty Grant Planning Workshop 2015 Expression of Interest – Career Development Fellowship Please submit the completed EOI form(s) via the research administration officer in your School, Institute or Centre, to MBS Research at mbs.research@uq.edu.au by 12:00 pm on 5th November 2015. Please note that successful applicants typically, in the past 5 years, had: ▪ published an average of 17 or more peer reviewed journal articles and two or more review articles or book chapters, with the peer review panel also taking into account first authorship and quality of the published work; ▪ presented at international meetings at least twice; ▪ obtained research funding as a first named Chief Investigator in a competitive granting scheme; ▪ international postdoctoral experience; and ▪ led their own (small) research group. Career Development Fellow Level 1: An NHMRC Career Development Fellow Level 1 is expected to carry out research independently or as part of a research team, and engage in activities that will develop their expertise in biomedical, clinical, public health and/or health service delivery research. They may work with support, guidance and/or direction from more senior colleagues in establishing their research careers. Career Development Fellow Level 2: An NHMRC Career Development Fellow Level 2 is expected to carry out research independently or as part of a research team. They are expected to work independently, with limited guidance or direction from more senior colleagues in establishing their research careers. This level of appointment recognises marked distinction in the Career Development Fellow's research and scholarship compared to a Level 1 CDF.
