Sport Ambassadors
The following four posts are intended to support the promotion and administration of sporting activity at the
University of Dundee. The posts are voluntary and successful candidates are expected to be motivated and
committed to improving the sporting experience of those participating in sport at the University.
Applicants will be interviewed for their respective posts and the successful applicants will report to, in the first
instance, the Sports Union President. The term of each post will be until 30th April 2015 or as agreed with
the Sports Union President.
Post: Photographer
Responsible to:
Dundee University Sports Union President/Communications Officer
Average Weekly Voluntary Hrs: 3
Responsibility/Actions:
Take photos at agreed club sessions and competitive fixtures
Select the best images & provide to the SU office within 24 hrs of the event
Liaise with SU President & Comms Officer regarding photographic activity
Be available, when needed, to attend sports events/activities to take photos

Responsible to:

Average Weekly Voluntary Hrs: 4
Responsibility/Actions:
Attend sports events & film, as agreed with SU President/Comms Officer
Edit footage & provide as agreed to the SU President/Comms Officer

Post: Feature Writer
Responsible to:
Dundee University Sports Union President/Communications Officer
Average Weekly Voluntary Hrs: 2 - 3
Responsibility/Actions:
Identify appropriate news items and stories of interest
Write short items and articles for various media outlets
Liaise with SU President SU Comms Officer regarding articles and writing
Be available, when needed, to attend sports events/activities to write articles

Post: Campus Sport Promoter
Responsible to:
Dundee University Sports Union President/Campus Sport Officer
Average Weekly Voluntary Hrs: 4
Responsibility/Actions:
Raise awareness of & promote Campus Sport events on campus
Distribute posters and flyers where and when agreed
Support Campus Sport Officer in their ongoing work
Liaise with SU President & SU Campus Sport Officer regarding events
Attend and assist with administration of Campus Sports events
