Robson-Scott Travel Bursary 2012/13 Guidance Notes INTRODUCTION These bursaries were instituted as a memorial under the bequest of Professor W D Robson-Scott, MA, DPhil, Lecturer in German 1939–61, Reader 1961–66 and Professor of German Language and Literature 1966–68. These bursaries are open to part-time undergraduate and part-time postgraduate students of any discipline. Part-time students taking a period of full-time study are also eligible to apply. The purpose of the award is to assist with the cost of travel outside the United Kingdom for a short period of approved independent study. The value of the award will be according to the circumstances of the successful applicants but not normally more than £100. Applications should be sent to the College’s Student Financial Support Office by 31st May 2013. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA You will be eligible to apply for an award if you satisfy ALL the following criteria: You must – Be enrolled on a part-time undergraduate or part-time postgraduate degree Be planning to travel outside the UK for a short period of approved independent study Be a ‘Home’ student COMPLETING YOUR APPLICATION 1. Please make sure that the form has been signed off by the Programme Director/Course Administrator from your department whose has authorised the trip. 3. Please also attach photocopied supporting evidence of your income. i.e. your P60 for the 2011-2012 Tax Year (including that of your partner/spouse if applicable), or a Self-Employed Tax Return, or proof that you currently receive means-tested benefits.
