INTERVIEWS: W/C 6 January 2014 £22,000 pro rata, 3 days per week (six-month contract subject to review, potential for renewal) Studio Voltaire is looking to recruit a Communications Coordinator to manage all aspects of the organisations’ communications and to lead with delivering our audience development strategy. 2014 marks 20 years of Studio Voltaire supporting artists and will represent a key year for the organisation. Working as part of a small team, the Communications Coordinator will play an important role in generating coverage for Studio Voltaire’s ambitious gallery, education and studio programmes, as well as special fundraising activities, and communicating to a wider public. ABOUT STUDIO VOLTAIRE Studio Voltaire is a leading independent contemporary arts organisation that exists to support artistic practices and create a space for thinking, experimentation and reflection; its main activities are the provision of affordable studios, a renowned programme of exhibitions, performances and commissions, and a pioneering education programme. PRIMARY ROLE The Communications Coordinator manages all aspects of Studio Voltaire’s communications including website/digital content, signage/interpretation, print material and press liaison. The Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Director and General Manager to implement Studio Voltaire’s Audience Development strategy across all of its programmes, trading and fundraising activities. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: PRESS & COMMUNICATIONS Identifying key stakeholders to develop Studio Voltaire’s profile, actively seeking out opportunities for coverage and forming key relationships in order to ensure maximum coverage for Studio Voltaire’s activities. Lead comprehensive press campaigns to secure preview coverage, opinion/ trend stories, event coverage, round ups and reviews, as well as wider institutional coverage. Identify aims and benefits of a potential media partnership, and liaise with and manage the partnership.
