Photoreactions studies of ethanol and water on these powders using Temperature Programmed Desorption Spectroscopy (TPD), Fourier Transform Infra-Red Spectroscopy (FTIR) and online Gas Chromatography (GC) with an emphasis on hydrogen production from renewable such as Bio-ethanol and water. 2- Deposition of noble metals (Ru, Au) on single crystal surface by using Metallo-organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) and Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) and ethanol photoreactions studies under UHV conditions using X-ray Photoemission Spectroscopy (XPS), Temperature Programmed Desorption Spectroscopy (TPD) and online Mass Spectrometry. 3- Preparation of Nobel metal supported CeO2 catalyst for hydrogen production by steam reforming of ethanol. Catalytic studies and their characterization using above mentioned techniques. 4- Fabrication of TiO2-CdS core shell structures. This structure will be loaded with Noble metals like Au and test for their activity for ethanol reforming and water splitting reaction under sunlight. 5- Development of cheap Titania based photocatalyst for Publications photodegradation of commercial dyes. 1- Nadeem, M.A., Waterhouse, G.I.N., Idriss, H., “The reactions of ethanol on TiO2 and Au/TiO2 anatase catalysts (2012).”The reactions of ethanol on TiO2 and Au/TiO2 anatase catalysts."
