1. Apologies, welcome and introduction

2. Activities Update – Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania

Reviewal of 2013’s events, especially major events such as Big Bento Lunch, Trivia Night,
and Hot Springs trip.
Action point: contact SA & TAS chapters throughout the year about their events and share
ideas.
3. Treasurer’s Report
-
W.B. announced grants from CLAIR will no longer cover/sponsor purely social events
Chapter’s funding approved in August 2013 (80% of funding approved).
SA & TAS do not have a lot of activities throughout the year, may have to return percentage
of grant money allocated for them.
Current balance is $8,000 – healthy!
4. Country Representative Update

R.W. our country representative since June 2013.
Key role is to keep in touch with all chapters and presidents, and liaise between CLAIR and
chapters.
R.W. attended Oceania Conference with J.S. in Brisbane last year, theme was sister city
relations.
R.W.’s project for this year is to create a new website for all JETAA Oceania chapters to
share contacts and information.
Action point: begin planning for this year’s conference to be held in Melbourne, date yet to
be confirmed (September, October or November).

6. Events Calendar 2014
-
Proposal to hold committee meetings on weekday nights (alternate between Mondays,
Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Meetings to be no longer held on Saturday mornings.
Action point: R.W. to draft meeting schedule
Upcoming events: networking event for returnees in March, potentially with AJSV.
Action point: discuss further at next committee meeting.
JET Returnee Reception – Friday 14 March, 6.30pm (venue TBC).
Consider other dates for Trivia Night (Easter and ANZAC day fall the same week this year),
potential date May 1st or 2nd.
Action point: confirm date and begin researching suitable venue in Feb/March meetings.
Suggestions welcome for events not already on calendar and events with other groups.
Hot springs day trip – potentially move it to September (schedule around Oceania
Conference).
7. Oceania Conference host 2014
-
JETAA Vic/Tas/SA hosting conference for 2014 – date yet to be confirmed.
Action point: decide in upcoming meetings a suitable date (September, October, or
November).
Conference will be held over a weekend – full day Saturday with a half day on Sunday.
Conference to be funded by chapter and CLAIR.
Action point: discuss theme/topic for conference.
8. Other matters

Action point: R.W./N.S. to send new committee members list to Consulate.
