Dam's Dustaire with new owner Mikael Lindh. Premium stallion JJ Zinfandel Grønvang. The most expensive unlicensed colt Shogun Spring Auction with good highlights A sales rate of 74%, an average price of just under 180,000 DKK and a price highlight of half a million DKK at this year's Spring Auction show a significant increase in numbers Saturday afternoon the horses produced a turnover of 2.515 million DKK at the Spring Auction at the Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning. The horses sold for an average price of 179,643 DKK, and 43% of the sold horses went to foreign countries (Sweden, Germany and the USA). – We are particularly pleased about the increase of the sales percentage, says chairman of the auction committee Ulrik Kristensen. The auction's highest price was obtained by the 5-year-old silver medal mare Dam's Dustaire by Blue Hors Zack/De Noir who was also participating in the Young Horse Championships. The final bid of 500,000 DKK for Dam's Dustaire was placed by Mikaela Lindh from Dressage Stable Sølyst. She purchased the mare together with Finnish Katja Kuistila residing in England. – I rely on the concept behind the Danish Warmblood auctions. The x-rays are online, and therefore we could make thorough preparations before the auction. At the same time I am very fond of Danish breeding, so the choice to buy this mare was not a hard one. She has a suitable size for me and the gaits to go all the way to Grand Prix. Besides, she has a very good pedigree so she can even become a good broodmare one day, says the happy buyer. The most expensive licensed stallion was the 4-year-old premium stallion JJ Zinfandel Grønvang by Blue Hors Zack/Gribaldi , which achieved a knock-down price of 450,000 DKK. The beautiful stallion that was presented by JJ Horses in Norway, was sold to a familiar client at the Danish Warmblood auctions, Swede Johan Ifverson. The 3-year-old stallion Shogun by Sunny-Boy/Negro did not get licensed. However, there are always buyers for good horses. For 400,000 DKK the talented young dressage rider Anna Zibrandtsen managed to buy the wonderfully cantering black stallion. The horse was presented by the family Steensen Blicher family. – Unfortunately, our stallion did not get approved for breeding, but nevertheless the auction was such a good experience, and we could not imagine better buyers than the Zibrandtsen family, Susanne and Søren Steensen Blicher say.
