Arts Coalition of Erie General Members Meeting 7.9.2012 Meeting called to order at 7:04pm Gary’s update on the Erie Board of Trustees meeting: We did obtain a 3 year lease from Town of Erie with a further 3 year extension at our discretion. Joe Carnival and Mark Gruber were the no votes on the BOT. Joe objected to the 3-year rather than a 1-year at a time lease agreement. Mark wanted more reporting and more details throughout the year. The focus of us having this building is not running an art gallery. The focus is that we provide outreach to the public. Gallery sales covers our overhead. We have to support revitalizing the old town area. We need to establish better community outreach. Rhonda Grassi has started a 3rd Saturday OT block party. The next one is July 21 – please be here to do demonstrations. Scott Delouise is the president of the Erie airpark homeowners assoc and has a position on the Erie airpark and he is going to help us figure out a way to get the roof replaced. Scott is also an independent insurance adjuster. Steve moves we approve the last months minutes, Terry seconds, motion passed. Attendance record – All: when working the gallery please have visitors sign the guestbook. This becomes important especially when getting grants and providing reports to the Erie BOT. Work on getting a nicer sign in book, maybe cheap at Michaels now that wedding season is past. Treasurer’s report Checks out from the last year - $40 from the members show Oct 2011, and then other more current ones not yet cashed from the last 60 days. Balance of $3260.24 Terry moves we accept as read, Steve seconds, approved. We need more gallery staffing on Friday nights, at least until 7pm.
