Welcome to the North Bay Farmers’ Market 2015
Please read this application carefully as changes have been made
The North Bay Farmers’ Market is made up of many dedicated small business owners, working
together to offer a quality shopping experience for those who seek locally produced fruit &
vegetables, herbs, plants & flowers, honey, maple syrup, fresh baked goods, locally grown meat, as
well as handmade preserves, natural soap and beauty products, hand sewn clothing & accessories,
one-of-a-kind jewellery, unique artwork and quality wood crafts.
Please note: the North Bay Farmers’ Market is a smoke free market and all dogs must be on a leash.

Market applications, health unit approval, and full payments must all be received by March 16th, 2015. Failure to
do so will result in loss of approval from the board and loss of stall.

Vendors will be notified of the status of their application by April 1 st, 2015.
Applications cannot be e-mailed as original signature and payment are required.

The 2015 Market Season will be in operation every Saturday from May 16th to October 10th, 8:30am to 1:00pm and every Wednesday
from May 20th to October 7th, 10:00am to 2:00pm.
The Saturday market will be located in parking lot #10, behind the North Bay Transit station. The entrance is at the corner
of Wyld and Oak Streets. The Wednesday market will be held directly in front of the Discovery North Bay Museum,
entrance for vendors is through lot #10.
All vendors must volunteer. Your help is valuable and will add to the stability and success of the market. A short list of volunteer
opportunities will be handed out at the Annual General Meeting or ask someone from the board of directors for more information.
Please ensure that you have read and fully understand the Rules and Regulations document as there have been changes made.

Insurance
If vendors do not sign the “Hold Harmless Agreement”, the Board of Directors requires a copy of your business liability
insurance included with your vendor application.

 I have read and understand the North Bay Farmers’ Market “Rules and Regulations” and I agree to their terms
and conditions. I understand that failure to comply with the Rules and Regulations will result in disciplinary
action that may include loss of membership. This box must be checked for the Board of Directors to consider
your application. I understand both Saturday & Wednesday Markets are RAIN OR SHINE. Only an
emergency will excuse vendors once set up, at the discretion of the Board. I understand that the Market
Manager will generally correspond via email and I agree to receive said emails.

 I acknowledge that as a Seasonal Vendor I am required to complete one volunteer task. Should I choose not to
complete a volunteer task I understand that I will not be refunded my $20.00 volunteer fee.

Payment of Fees
• Make cheques payable to “North Bay Farmers’ Market”; cash is also accepted (DO NOT send cash in the mail).
•Applicants wishing to be considered as Seasonal Vendors must pay the full fee at the time of application, if
necessary, two cheques may be submitted with your application, see below for details. Vendors who are not approved
as a Seasonal Vendor will have their un-cashed cheques returned and will be put on the Occasional Vendor call list.
• Occasional Vendors must pay their stall fees each market morning. Also, on their first market morning they will be
required to pay a $15.00 membership fee in addition to their stall fee. Occasional Vendors must submit their fee
payments to the Treasurer, Jim Merrick, upon arrival before setting up on Saturdays and to Stephanie Booth on
Wednesdays.
• NSF cheques will be returned to the vendor and a $50.00 charge will be applied to cover banking fees. Any vendor
whose cheques were returned the previous season must pay in cash or certified cheque only.

Should my Vendor application be accepted by the “North Bay Farmers’ Market”, I, the Lessee shall hold harmless
the “North Bay Farmers’ Market”, and it’s members, agents and employees from any and against all claims,
demands, losses, costs, damages, actions, suits or proceedings by any third party that may arise out of, or may
attribute to, all operations performed by or carried out by the Lessee, his/her agents, employees or servants, or
anyone for whose acts he may be liable, howsoever caused.
