1. Visual Inspection
1. Check frame and legs for
cleanliness, structural damage,
and security.
11. Verify correct LED color for
Attitude hold.
12. Switch to Manual/Failsafe
mode.
2. Check condition of propellers,
motors, esc’s, receivers, and
other attached devices.
13. Verify correct LED color for
Manual/Failsafe.
3. Verify wiring and connections are
clean and have no breaks or
tears on their insulation.
3. Flight
4. Inspect battery condition and
adjust for center of gravity.
2. Engage Combination Stick
Commands (CSC).
5. Verify transmitter is in good
condition and that all switches
and antennas are in the correct
start position.
3. Lift-off to flight altitude.
6. Remove all remove before flight
items.
5. Continuously monitor for an
emergency landing position.

1. Visually verify your flight area is
clear.
1. Announce “Preparing to take-off”
4. Continuously monitor clearance
from people, buildings, and
obstacles.
1. Find and ensure a safe landing
area.
2. Announce “Clear Prop”.
2. Announce “ Preparing to Land”
3. Power on transmitter.
3. Touch-down Quadcopter
4. Verify transmitter readouts are
normal.
4. Bring throttle to full low position
for 3 second auto cut-off, or
engage Combination Stick
Commands (CSC).
5. Power on Quadcopter.
6. Verify audible tones and visual
lights are correct. This should
take five to ten seconds.
5. Post Flight
7. Verify transmitter readouts are
normal.
1. Unplug battery from Quadcopter
8. Calibrate the compass if needed.
3. Clean your area
2. Power-off transmitter
9. Verify correct LED color for GPS
Attitude mode.
