3d aeronautic program
Methods
First, the 3d aerodynamics program must be downloaded and prepared. (preperations vary to each
program) Secondly, my 3d model that incorporates propellers in the wings of the aircraft must be
downloaded. After the 3d model is downloaded, run an erodynamics test and record the result. Then,
calculate fuel efficiency, center of balace, lift, in addition to the air resistance values generated by the
simulator with the following equations:
Fuel Calculation:
The calculation of the fuel used of each aircraft in the conflict simulation is based on the
assumptions and equations outlined in EUROCONTROL BADA User Manual release version
2.6 (Autumn 1997) (Bos, 1997)
All factors from BADA are adjusted to receive results in ISO units. The fuel consumption is
derived for the three considered sub flight phases in the en-route flight phase.
Thrust specific fuel consumption:
The thrust specific fuel consumption (in kg/sec/newton]) is specified as a function of airspeed
(Vt) for jet engines:

Fuel Flow in Flight Phase "Climb" and "Descent":
The nominal fuel flow for the flight phase "climb" and "descent" (not idle thrust) is a function of
thrust (T) and the thrust specific fuel consumption ().
Fuel Flow in Flight Phase "Cruise":
The fuel flow for the flight phase "cruise" is a function of thrust (T), the thrust specific fuel
consumption () and a cruise fuel flow correction coefficient.
Fuel Flow in Flight Phase "Descent" with idle thrust:
Minimum fuel flow corresponding to idle thrust in descent conditions for jet engines is specified
as a function of altitude above sea level (h).
