The CHCS PTA 2nd Annual Wine Raffle Fundraiser – we
need you to donate!
The CHCS PTA is holding a wine raffle on November 8th. Ticket sales are going on
now – if you are interested in purchasing tickets or assisting with sales, please email
amy.salunga@gmail.com. Winners do NOT need to be present at the raffle.
We are seeking wine donations from local merchants; however, in
order to make our wine cellars a reality, we ask CHCS families to
donate one bottle of wine valued at $15 or more or use the Opt-out
option below.
When should you donate?
Starting Friday, October 19th, families may purchase wine to donate, or drop off
donations. The wine donation period ends Monday, November 5th.
Where do I drop off my donation?
* I already purchased a bottle of wine I’d like to donate
If you already have on hand a bottle of wine that you would like to donate, you may
drop off your bottle of wine at Hill’s Kitchen (713 D Street SE – across from the
Eastern Market metro). Please fill out and attach the enclosed wine donation form
to your donated bottle.
* I’d like to purchase a bottle of wine from a local merchant at a discount
Schneider’s of Capitol Hill (300 Mass Ave. NE) and Chat’s Liquors (503 8th Street SE)
are both generously offering 15% discounts for purchases made for the wine raffle
cellar. They will also store the purchased bottles of wine – you will not need to
make arrangements to drop off your purchase anywhere else. Wine donation forms
will be on hand to fill out when you make your purchase.
Why should you participate (aside from the chance to wine 50 bottles of wine)? All
funds raised go to programs and supplies for your children! Your fundraising
efforts directly impact the level of monetary support the PTA is able to provide to
CHCS. This year we are funding the Music Teacher at Peabody, First in Learning
Aides (5 of them) at Watkins and Discretionary money for Stuart Hobson.

Would you like to participate but are short on time? You can opt out!
________ Yes! I’d like to donate a bottle of wine to the CHCS Wine Raffle, but I’d like
someone else to pick out the wine for me. Please accept my tax deductible $15
donation instead. Please make checks payable to CHCS PTA and write opt out
donation in the subject line. Return this form and check in your child’s folder or
drop in PTA box at your campus and email amy.salunga@gmail.com to notify when
you have placed in the PTA box.
