Creating a Rock Profile

In this activity, you will construct a geologic cross section for another student to sequence.
As part of your rock profile, you must include:
1. At least ten steps
2. At least one unconformity
3. At least one type of uplift (folding, faulting, tilting)
4. At least one igneous intrusion
5. Use the following rock symbols in your sequence:
Limestone
Sandstone
Igneous
Shale
6. Your rock profile needs to be colored and all layers labeled.
7. Create event strips that explain the order of events that created the rock profile. Be specific with labels, the type of uplift,
and the type of unconformities.
