UVa CHARGE Department Needs Survey Template and Guidelines A critical step in the Preparation Phase is to determine the needs of the department and the qualifications of the candidate who will fill those needs. This includes determining the required and preferred qualifications, and the evaluation criteria that will be used to evaluate the candidate submissions. Search Committees can use this survey template to determine the needs of the department and the priority ranking assigned to those needs.
