And life's most happy things

Because it is a Christmas Day!

All over the Christmas tree.

And now there’s nothing more to do,
Except

You know, the highest and the finest fir-tree is put in Trafalgar Square. Every year the people of
Norway give the city of London a present- a big Christmas tree. The tradition goes back to the days of
the Second World War. Norway found their refuge in Great Britain: as it was Christmas time, they
offered them a fir-tree. Since that time, Oslo annually presents Great Britain with the huge fir-tree. It
has become a tradition.

11 Let It Snow
Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
It doesn't show signs of stopping,
And I've bought some corn for popping,
The lights are turned way down low,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
When we finally kiss goodnight,
How I'll hate going out in the storm!
But if you'll really hold me tight,
All the way home I'll be warm.
The fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we're still good-bying,
But as long as you love me so,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
5-P14 Столяр
It is cold and still, the wind is away,

Where do you go when you hide yourself?

There is snow on my coat

Танец снеговиков.
2-A Snowman.
I’m a little snowman white and fat.
Here is my pipe and here is my hat.
I’ve got buttons one, two, three.
Will you count them all with me?
Don’t throw the snowballs at my hat
If you do I’ll turn around
And pick some snow up from the ground,
Make a ball or maybe two
And then throw snowballs back at you!
5-6 Song about the snowman
Frosty the Snowman
Was a jolly happy soul
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal
Frosty the Snowman
Is a fairytale they say
He was made of snow
But the children know
How he came to life one day
There must have been some magic
In that old silk hat they found
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around
7
Frosty the Snowman
Was alive as he could be
And the children say
He could laugh and play
Just the same as you and me
6-Child 13 Марков Влад 6А
It̕s snowing, it̕s snowing.
Let us sledge and ski.
When I am dashing downhill,
Clear the way for me!
What fun it is to ride and sing
The sleighing song tonight!
Jingle bells
Dashing through the snow
In a one-horse open sleigh,
Over the fields we go,
Laughing all the way;
Bells on bob-tail ring,
Making spirits bright,
What fun it is to ride and sing
A sleighing song tonight, O
Jingle bells, jingle bells,
jingle all the way!
O what fun it is to ride
In a one-horse open sleigh

In Great Britain there is a nice tradition to write letters to Santa Clause. Santa Clause reads them and
realizes all children’s wishes. Tom, what are you doing?
5-Boy 19 Галілеєв
I am writing a letter. Listen what I have written:
Father Christmas!
I am very glad about the present you gave me last year. Thanks a lot.
You see, I am good at studying and my parents are proud of my success. Soon it will be Christmas, my
favourite holiday and
I want some crackers,
And I want some candies;-2
I think a box of chocolates
Would come in handy;-2
I don’t mind oranges,
I do like nuts!-2
And I should like a pocket-knife
That really cuts.-2
And, oh! Father Christmas,
If you love me at all,
Bring me a big, red India-rubber ball!
Lots of love.
Tom

What do you want for Christmas…
What do you want for Christmas?
Christmas? Christmas
What do you want for Christmas?
Santa’s on his way.
I want a train. I want a train.
I want a great big train.
What do you want for Christmas?
Christmas? Christmas?
What do you want for Christmas?
Santa’s on his way.
I want a rocket. I want a rocket.
I want a great big rocket.
Prepare for lift-off...5, 4, 3, 2, 1, LIFT-OFF!
What do you want for Christmas?
Christmas? Christmas?
What do you want for Christmas?
Santa’s on his way.
I want a robot. I want a robot.
I want a great big robot.
What do you want for Christmas?
Christmas? Christmas?
What do you want for Christmas?
Santa’s on his way.
I want a teddy bear. I want a teddy bear.
I want a great big teddy bear.
What do you want for Christmas?
Christmas? Christmas?
What do you want for Christmas?
Santa’s on his way. Santa’s on his way!
11-When Santa Gets your Letter.
When Santa Claus gets your letter
You know what he will say
"Have you been good the way you should
On ev'ry single day?"
When Santa gets your letter
To ask for Christmas toys
He'll take a look in his good book
He keeps for girls and boys.
He'll stroke his beard, his eyes will glow
And at your name he'll peer
It takes a little time, you know
To check back one whole year!
When Santa Claus gets your letter
I really do believe
You'll head his list, you won't be missed
By Santa on Christmas Eve.

P.-11
Christmas is remembering
a tree that sparkles bright
gathered with the family
sharing laughter and delight
P.-11
A time to think of loved ones
and friends both far and near
sending them our wishes
of happiness and cheer
P.-11
Recalling special memories
before the firelight's glow
remembering the Christmases
we knew of long ago
P.-11
It's with these festive thoughts in mind
this greeting comes to say
that you are wished the best
in every single way
11-Granny
As for me I like to get Christmas Cards most of all! Children, do you know that the first Christmas
cards appeared more than a hundred years ago. William Egley, an English artist, designed his own card
in 1842 and sent it to his friends. By 1870 the Christmas card had become really popular in England.

2-Children (10)
S stands for stockings we hang up so high.
A is for all we get if we don't cry.
N is for nobody he will pass by.
T is for to-morrow, the day we eat pie.
A stands for at last old Santa is nigh.
C for the children who love him so well.
L for the little girl, his name she can spell.
A stands for apples so rosy and red.
U is for us as we wait for his sled.
S stands for Santa Claus, who comes in the night
when we are tucked up in bed with our eyes
closed so tight

Mistletoe (оригинал Justin Bieber)
It's the most beautiful time of the year:
Lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer.
I should be playing in the winter snow,
But Imma be under the mistletoe.
I don't want to miss out on the holiday
But I can't stop staring at your face.
I should be playing in the winter snow,
But I'mma be under the mistletoe.
With you, shawty, with you,
With you, shawty, with you,
With you under the mistletoe.
Everyone's gathering around the fire,
Chestnuts roasting like a hot July.
I should be chillin' with my folks, I know,
But I'mma be under the mistletoe.
11
Word on the street "Santa's coming tonight!",
Reindeer's flying in the sky so high.
I should be making a list, I know,
But I'mma be under the mistletoe.
With you, shawty, with you,
With you, shawty, with you,
With you under the mistletoe.
With you, shawty, with you,
With you, shawty, with you,
With you under the mistletoe.
