 Letters of recommendation may be emailed or mailed to the address above. If emailed, please

All components of the application (application, two letters of recommendation, and official
transcripts) must be emailed/postmarked no later than Friday, March 27, 2015. Incomplete
applications will not be considered. All information is kept in strict confidence.
General Information
 Applicant must meet criteria for membership at CFCU and have or open a CFCU share account in
his/her name before Friday, March 27, 2015.
 Applicant must be preparing to begin full-time study at a 4-year accredited college or university.
High school seniors and nontraditional students planning to enter college for the first time are
encouraged to apply.
 Students may only apply for either the 2-year or 4-year scholarship.
 All components of the application (application, two letters of recommendation, and official
transcripts) must be emailed/postmarked no later than Friday, March 27, 2015.
 CFCU employees, members of the Board of Directors, members of the Supervisory Committee,
members of the Education Committee, and their immediate family members are not eligible for
consideration.
Amount and Terms of the Award
 Up to $30,000 will be awarded to 10 students, each consisting of one (1) grant for $3,000 to be used
over two semesters of study ($1,500 each semester).
 Scholarships are awarded for one year only and are not renewable.
 Disbursements may be paid directly to the recipient’s college prior to the start of each semester, or
paid directly to the recipient’s CFCU account upon proof of completion of each semester. (See item
“c” below).
 Recipients must meet all of the following criteria:
a) Be enrolled as a full-time student each academic semester according to the full-time status
defined by the college.
b) Receive at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and be in good academic
standing after each semester.
c) Remit an official transcript to the CFCU Education Committee after the completion of each
semester.
 Recipients who fail to meet the above criteria risk forfeiture of any unpaid portion of their winnings.

Additional Information
 Applicants who have not opened a CFCU account in his/her name by Friday, March 27, 2015 will not
be considered.
 Scholarship Award Decisions will be made by June 1, 2015.
 Applicants will be notified of their status by mail shortly thereafter.
 No applicant will be discriminated against on the basis of sex, marital status, race, color, religion,
national origin, or age in consideration for this scholarship.
