Check your school’s course catalogue for a complete list of programs offered. Take the PSAT 10/14/15. You must sign up in Guidance office in advance. The PSAT Score Report you receive from this test will be used for the workshop in February. All Sophomores will take the ASPIRE test as preparation for the ACT test you will take in 11th grade. Talk to your school counselors, College Success Coach, and mentor about Post-secondary education options related to your career interests. Update your list of awards, honors, paid or volunteer work, and extracurricular activities. Colleges often want to know about “leadership” activities and they are an important component for some scholarships. Continue working on your high school/career portfolio. Keep a College Folder or binder, saving all items listed above and PSAT and ASPIRE test score reports also include essays you write here. You will be glad when you are a Senior! Narrow down your interested areas of study and try to declare a major. Choose your top colleges and universities to research your major interest of study. Find out what standardized tests your chosen colleges/universities prefer and accept.
