Dear Parents,
It’s difficult to believe that it is almost Spring Break! For those of you
traveling, have a safe and joyful vacation. Even more difficult to believe is that
when we come back, we will be hosting our Easter parties. We have been busy
transforming those milk jugs into beautiful Easter baskets. If you are able, we
would love for you to come hear us sing our Easter songs at 11:15 on Wednesday,
April 1st – the day of the Easter Party. Remember there is no school or day care on
Good Friday, April 3rd.
DCFS and the Il Department of Health now require us to provide a Vision
and Hearing Screening at the preschool. Former public school nurses will be
conducting these tests on Thursday, April 10th and Friday, April 11th during your
child’s class period. This screening will be done in our block room.
Mark your calendars…Make St. Mark Preschool the ‘COOLEST SCHOOL’ by
going to Capannari’s on April 20th between 3:00pm and 9:00pm. This simple
fundraiser allows us to receive 10% of Capannari’s sales for the day. Buy ice cream
to enjoy now and gift certificates to enjoy throughout Spring and Summer!!! What
a way to enjoy the season!
Preschool Sunday will take place on Sunday, April 26th at the 10:00 service.
The preschool families are invited to attend the church service and the children
will be singing some of our preschool songs. During the service, the children are
invited to attend children’s chapel. Afterward, our Preschool Board will provide
treats for the congregation and the preschool families. Please plan on attending
this event. A sign-up sheet will be posted near the entrance of the school after
Easter.
Don’t forget to order Art to Remember. Order forms are due this Friday,
March 20th. Sample items are on display by the sign-in sheets. The items will be
shipped by the end of April and will make beautiful Mother’s and Father’s Day
gifts.
