Reporting to the Principal of Woodlands North, this position requires innovation and leadership while
improving and maintaining the company’s geospatial data management and analysis. The position will be
the main driver behind company’s Research & Development initiatives. The successful individual will
have opportunity to demonstrate project management, geospatial, decision support and analytical skills
while presenting and publishing at different forums for business development.
Key Responsibilities





Strategic leadership and management of data (spatial/aspatial database), analysis & reporting
Project management to ensure all projects are completed timely and accurately
Lead role in Research & Development of new applications/programs
Trouble shooting errors, improve work flows, training staff
Conduct spatial 3D and 2D as well as numerical modelling
Qualifications






PhD in Forestry, Environmental Management or other applied field
Proven experience using geospatial analysis to build Decision Support Systems
> 5 years of working experience with the government, consulting and/or industry
Demonstrated focus on delivering business results
Excellent GIS skills including programming (Python, VB) for ESRI & FME suite of products
Proven experience with LiDAR data, including e57, las files, point cloud manipulation and
classifications and modelling
