Be sure to attach all your work to receive full credit. Every spelling contract is due on Friday before taking your spelling test. Dictionary Dive! – On a separate piece of paper, write out each spelling word. After looking up your word in a dictionary, please give the dictation, part of speech, and definition of each word. Write two complete sentences using each spelling word correctly. One of your two sentences must be an interrogative (?) sentence. Spelling sticks! – Pull a new stick for each spelling word and follow its command! Shoulder taps!- start in a push up stance. Take right hand to left shoulder and whisper a letter. Alternate tapping shoulders to finish spelling each word. Two and Two!- For each spelling word, write out two synonyms and two antonyms. Don’t be afraid to use the thesaurus for assistance. Crossword Spelling- create a crossword puzzle using all of your spelling words (don’t forget clues)! Secret Agent- Write out the alphabet. Then create a symbol for each letter. Then spell your word using the symbol you created. Have someone else crack the code and collect their autograph! Lost Letters! -Cut out the letters from a magazine/newspaper and paste them on a new piece of paper to form each of your spelling words. Rainbow Write!- Write each spelling word three times using the colors in the rainbow. ROYGBP Don’t forget that all spelling tests will be written in cursive.
