A PERSONAL COPY OF YOUR CLASS CONSTITUTION (1st period only) D. 2nd period only – Received a bell work sheet & their first bell work assignment – see classmate 2. STUDENTS CONTINUED RESEARCHING HOW THE CONSTITUTION TRIED TO FIX THE WEAKNESSES OF THE ARTICLES. THEN STUDENTS WERE ASSIGNED TO READ ABOUT AND WATCH THE VIDEOS IN UNIT 1 VIDEOS ABOUT THE CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION, THE PLANS PROPOSED, THE COMPROMISES REACHED, AND ABOUT THE FEDERALISTS & ANTIFEDERALISTS. TOMORROW STUDENTS WILL BE ASKED TO PREPARE & PRESENT THE PERSPECTIVE ON ONE OF THESE TOPICS. 4B: 1. STUDENTS WERE GIVEN A COPY OF THE CLASS CONSTITUTION. YOUR’S IS IN THE MAKE UP FOLDER. 2. STUDENTS TURNED IN THEIR SUPERHERO ACTIVITY IF THEY HAVEN’T DONE SO ALREADY. PLACE YOUR’S IN THE IN BASKET ON THE FRONT TABLE. 3. STUDENTS WERE INFORMED THAT THEIR FIRST TEST IS MONDAY, 1/26 ON UNIT 1. 4. WE DISCUSSED THE WORKSHEET “THE STATE AND ITS ORIGINS” TO REVIEW THE 4 THEORIES OF THE ORIGIN OF THE STATE. 5. WE TOOK NOTES USING THE CLASSIFYING FORMATION CHART IN THE NOTES PACKET. YOU CAN USE CHAPTER 1, SECTION2 AS WELL AS TWO VIDEOS IN CANVAS: POWER DISTRIBUTION & PARLIAMENTARY V PRESIDENTIAL TO HELP YOU WITH THIS INFORMATION. 6. STUDENTS WERE ASKED TO LOOK UP THE TOTAL POPULATION, SIZE OF TERRITORY, FORMS OF GOVERNMENT & LEADER OF RANDOM COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD. WE WILL COMPARE INFORMATION ON THURSDAY, 1/22, WHEN WE RECONVENE. 6TH: 1. STUDENTS COMPLETED THE “FORMS OF GOVERNMENT”#1-15 IN THEIR NOTES PACKET & WE WENT OVER IT AS A CLASS. 2. WE WENT OVER THE 5 BASIC CONCEPTS OF DEMOCRACY AND FILLED IN THE BUBBLE MAP ON THE LAST PAGE OF THE NOTES PACKET. READ CH. 1, SEC. 3 AND REFER TO THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF DEMOCRACY POWERPOINT LOCATED IN THE UNIT 1 MODULE IN CANVAS TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THESE CONCEPTS MEAN.
