Dear Saint Thomas Parish, Mr. Ed Carr has served the community of St. Thomas the Apostle School for many years as a positive role model, quality mathematics teacher and most recently as a tutor. He has influenced the lives and minds of hundreds of students providing them with critical math skills and preparing them for future educational success. In addition to providing quality instruction, Mr. Carr’s deep devotion to his faith and consistency in living that faith has modeled Catholic values to our students on a daily basis. Mr. Carr embodies what is meant when people speak of “Quality Catholic Education”. The Ed Carr Scholarship Fund It is with great pleasure and gratitude that The Saint Thomas Education Foundation announces the founding of the Ed Carr Scholarship. Dominic & Julie Greene, Brendan & Melissa Greene, Michael & Laura Greene, Andrea & Brian Cercek and Kevin & Rachel Greene have made a generous donation to The Foundation to establish this scholarship in his honor. They feel certain that members of the Saint Thomas Parish and School communities will be pleased, as they were, to contribute to this scholarship, enabling it to rapidly become fully funded in the amount of $20,000, in accordance with Education Foundation guidelines. Excellence in Catholic Education The Greenes feel strongly about the value of an excellent Catholic education and the importance of overcoming the financial challenge of providing such an education to all who desire it for their children. They have confidence that the Ed Carr Scholarship will become an important funding vehicle to support the mission and vision of Saint Thomas School. In their words, “As Mr. Carr and other members of the school staff provided faith-filled quality academics for our children, may the Ed Carr Scholarship further that work in his name.” Thank You! Thank you Mr. Carr, thank you Greene and Cercek family and thanks to all of you who will be contributing in honor of Mr. Carr to bring this scholarship to full fruition. Most Sincerely, Saint Thomas Education Foundation
