It is recognised that the timing of annual performance and career development conversations may vary between faculties, institutes and divisions and performance and career development plans for 2016 may not yet be finalised. Staff in this situation are encouraged to submit an application and must include their line manager’s support. This support infers a mutual agreement that the proposed activities are aligned to development needs and is a shared agreement to include these in subsequent conversations and plans. In some cases, the selection committee may request a copy of these plans before funds are released.
