LOLL DESIGNS, STP AWARD SUSTAINABILITY SCHOLARSHIP
TO DULUTH-SUPERIOR ECO-ROTARY CLUB
Eco-Rotary Will Join Upper Lakes Foods, Fond du Lac Band in
Sustainable Twin Ports’ 2015 Early Adopter Program
(Duluth, Minn. – Mar. 12, 2015) Loll Designs and Sustainable Twin Ports (STP) announced today that
they have awarded the Loll Designs Sustainability Scholarship to the Duluth-Superior Eco-Rotary Club.
The scholarship provides $1,750 toward STP’s Early Adopter program, which guides businesses and
organizations through the process of developing a sustainability action plan.
“The Duluth-Superior Eco-Rotary is exactly the type of organization we were looking for when
we decided to offer this scholarship,” says Loll Founder Greg Benson. “The Eco-Rotary’s commitment to
environmental stewardship and community-driven projects is a big asset for our community. More than
just helping to cover costs for this organization, we stand to learn from them and improve our own
sustainability initiatives by assisting with their sustainability plan.”

help us further our mission to enhance and preserve our region’s natural beauty and resources through
hands-on service projects,” says Tad Johnson, president of the Duluth-Superior Eco-Rotary Club. “When
our organization was chartered in 2008, we were just the second Rotary Club in the world with an
environmental focus, so we see this as yet another opportunity to inspire other eco-focused groups across
the country to enrich their communities through active, environmentally responsible leadership and global
service. We are grateful to Loll Designs for helping to make this possible.”

its demonstrated vision and commitment to sustainability, but also for its enormous leadership potential

The Duluth-Superior Eco-Rotary Club will join Upper Lakes Foods and the Fond du Lac Band of
Lake Superior Chippewa as members of STP’s 2015 Early Adopter cohort. The program is based on the
internationally recognized Natural Step framework, and will begin in mid-April. Graduates of the training
include St. Luke’s Hospital, Jamar Company, and the City of Duluth – among dozens of others. More
