Permission obtained through the Special Education Department: Please see page 8 regarding Special Education. This class incorporates multiple content areas and is for sophomore Life Study students. The Utah Life Skills curriculum is covered and includes the following: thinking and reasoning, social and civic responsibility, personal growth and character development, aesthetics, communication, systems thinking, and employability. Daily Living Skills Grades 10-12 EL, SPED.ED 1 Credit Prerequisite: Students will be admitted following referral, assessment, placement guidelines and IEP transition plan. This class will focus on skills needed to become more independent in daily routines, schedules, functional academics, exercise programs, leisure activities, self-care, social skills, and pre-vocational activities. Community Access Grades 10-12 EL, SPED.ED 1 Credit Prerequisite: Students will be admitted following referral, assessment, placement guidelines and IEP transition plan. Permission obtained through the Special Education Department: Please see page 8 regarding Special Education. This class will focus on skills needed to become more independent in accessing public transportation, community resources, recreation activities, and life skills such as shopping. Vocational Skills Grades 11-12 EL, SPED.ED 1 Credit Prerequisite: Students will be admitted following referral, assessment, placement guidelines and IEP transition plan.
