I. INTRODUCTION
All programs of IUBAT — International University of Business Agriculture and Technology stress
on a student ability to express ideas with clarity and precision. This requires a solid foundation in
mathematics. The candidates who have deficiency in mathematics are to complete this course,
preferably before starting sophomore courses.
II. AIMS AND OBJECTIVE
The course is intended to:
i)

v)
Train the students to apply their knowledge of mathematics in the quantitative area using
English as a medium.
Review the student’s knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Arithmetic,
Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus and Statistics.
Provide broad concept of mathematics to develop skills to relate different areas of
mathematics for problem solving purposes.
Enrich the students reasoning ability and calculative ability.
Develop confidence, satisfaction and resourcefulness so that he or she can deal any
problem, with care and efficiently even under stressed condition.
