Focus Standard

R.I.3: Explain events, procedures, ideas or concepts in a historical, scientific, or technical text, including what happened and why, based on specific information in the text.

R.I.2: Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas and information clearly.

Tuesday: I can determine the characteristics of an autobiography and explain the events that happen in the person’s life.

1) Characteristics of a Autobiography/Biography: Using the text we will take notes on characteristics and the style of this autobiography

2) Key Elements to focus on: Timeline of Events, Pictures and

Captions, Headings

Workshop/Small Group TTW meet with students individually and/or in small groups to assist learning goals. Students will work independently on previously assigned projects and/or tasks. (Students will be editing picture writing and adding in their own simile’s and metaphors)
