Regional Environmental Health & Safety Manager
Contract position
We are currently looking for an exceptional and enthusiastic Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) professional for
a contract position supporting Autodesk as their Regional Environmental Health and Safety Manager for the San
Francisco Bay Area. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing consistent,
risk-based, and creative practices and processes related to compliance and environmental health and safety
matters to support the various Bay Area operations including environments consistent with traditional office
work, creative and industrial workshop spaces, biology laboratory work, robotics, maritime, and data center
operations.
This is an exciting opportunity to lay the foundation for environmental health and safety at Autodesk. The
position will be based out of the Autodesk Pier 9 offices and workshops. This is an exciting and dynamic location
on the San Francisco Embarcadero waterfront close to downtown San Francisco and great public transit options

Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Environmental, Health and Safety operations and
projects and will have a demonstrated knowledge of applicable environmental, health and safety regulations with
equal success in managing systems and processes including, but not limited to:
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations, together with preparing and maintaining
company regulatory compliance records and reports.
• Plan, implement, manage, and verify risk control and compliance programs to ensure the employment of safe
work practices including, but not limited to, fire prevention, emergency response, equipment safeguards,
electrical lockout, and correct handling techniques for chemical, toxins, equipment, and other materials.
• Inspect facilities to detect existing or potential EH&S hazards and impacts, determine corrective and/or
preventive measures where indicated and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.
• Review new projects and changes for EHS impacts and facilitate continued compliance with all relevant
stakeholders.
• Lead the investigation of incidents, including near miss events, and cooperate in the preparation of material and
evidence for organization use.
• Maintain EHS files and records. Routinely audit records maintained by other groups such as facilities and
workshop/laboratory management.
• Ensure timely submittal, acquisition and maintenance of all environmental permits and reports to maintain
compliance with state and federal requirements. This includes BAAQMD air permits for our paint booth and
emergency generators, HMBP inventories and chemical storage permits, hazardous waste requirements, and
industrial wastewater discharge.
• Assist in monitoring the skills and capabilities of those assisting with EHS program components such as facilities
staff and workshop leaders, identify and provide training as needed.
Requirements
- Broad EHS knowledge and experience, 3+ years of education and/or experience in the field preferred
- Experience working in industrial research and development settings preferred
- Strong analytical skills with ability to provide clear recommendations and solutions
- Experience in facilitating/delivering training
- Ability to influence at all levels of management
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to make decisions guided by policies, practices, procedures and business plan
- Excellent project management and document management skills, organized, efficient, and result
driven
- Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to draft policies and procedures, map out
processes, and create training content
- Strong computer literacy skills including mastery knowledge of Microsoft suite (excel, word, powerpoint) skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
- Must be willing to carry company mobile phone and for emergencies.
