The How-To Guide for posts on Facebook
SETTING UP THE INVITE:
Setting up a Facebook event for a hostess is a great way to get an idea about party attendance, plus it
helps you make a connection with guests before the party even starts. Make sure to welcome guests as
they join and keep them excited about the party.
Use this method in addition to post card invites and email invites
Step 1: Log into your Facebook account and click on your “events” tab.
Step 2: Click on “create event.”
Step 3: Title your event. Example: “Sarah’s Pure Romance Party.”
Step 4: Enter event details. See samples below.
Step 5: Add party address.
Step 6: Add party date and time
Step 7: Set privacy to “invite only.”
Step 8: Click on “create.”
Step 9: Click on “add event photo.” Some great banner sized photos can be found on the COO or in the
Media Center.
Step 10: Click on “invite friends.” Invite your hostess to the event.
Step 11: Once your hostess joins the event, make her an event host. Click on the “settings” tab (next to
edit tab), “edit hosts” and type in your hostess’s name.
