Completed six (6) required hours of professional education courses at Avila, including ED 585 2. Achieved a cumulative GPA of 2.75 for ALL coursework (from ALL colleges/universities) 3. Achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for ALL education (ED) courses with no grade below a “C”. Elementary & SPED programs must include MA 305 & MA 306. 4. Achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 in ALL content area courses with no grade below a “C”. (middle school and secondary programs only) 5. Achieved a grade of “C” or better in Compositions I & II, Communication and a university level math course. Teacher candidate received a positive recommendation from the instructor, site supervisor and TEXT mentor in ED 585 Practicum. 2. Teacher candidate demonstrated professional dispositions for teaching as evidenced on the Avila evaluation form. 3. Teacher candidate demonstrated good character, positive attitudes and dedication to teach based on faculty input from observations in class, field-based experiences and assignments. Make a list of all courses taken (or all education courses if figuring your education GPA) 2. Next to each course, list the credit hours and grade for the course. 3. Next to each course grade, write a corresponding number (A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1) 4. For each course, multiply the credit hours with the grade number. The resulting answers equals the quality points for the course. 5. Add up the total credit hours for all courses. 6. Add up the quality point total for all courses. 7. Divide the quality points by the credit hours. The resulting answer is your overall GPA.
