Executive Summary
The Holy Qur’an is the fountain head of the entire learning system. It is the treasure of
knowledge and understanding that mankind need till end of time. The holy Qur’an is very
easy to remember and understand. As God says in Qur’an :“Verily we have made Al-Qur’an
easy to understand and remember”.
In order to help the scholars and learners of Qur’an, we come up with a proposal to establish
a system that can give Tajweed (Pronunciation in Arabic) and translation of the verses on
Mobile phone/ Landline/ VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) in voice form. User will be
able to listen proper pronunciation of the verse and its translation in his/her local language
(e.g. Hindi, Urdu, English, French, Persian etc) while reading from a standard book of Qur’an
(printed in King Fahad Printing Press, Madina).
For accessing the system, user dials a given numbers (say, 1800 200 786) from mobile/
Landline phone/ VOIP and after connecting dials page number with verse number (mentioned
in Qur’an Text Book) with a language code (local language code which is predefined) in a
specific fashion. Then user can hear the Tajweed and translation of those verses.

those who step forward to read, learn and understand Qur’an.
Objective
The main objective of Qur’an: m-Learning IVRS is to provide easy access to the learners of
the holy Qur’an by making it available just a phone call away.
It would be a great application for those who want to read the Qur’an with understanding as
this application is capable to give Tajweed (Arabic Pronunciation) as well as its Translation
verse by verse in user’s local language (like Hindi, Urdu,Malyalam, Telugu, English, Persian,
French etc).
Service Description
Nowadays, telephone users are increasing in numbers day by day. Ninety seven percent of
total population of the world own telephony device including mobiles, landline and VOIP.
These handheld telephony gadgets can be utilized to learn and understand the holy Qur’an by
listening Arabic verses and its translations in local language while reading it from the text
book. Our plan is to give access of the Qur’an audio database through simple voice callwhere
input commands will be given by pressing numbers on keypadof telephone instrument in a
defined fashion.

Qur’an: m-Learning application is an IVR (Interactive Voice Response) System which will
include several unique services for learners. Some of the features are given in the following
heads.




Tajweed (Pronunciation) can be heard in voice of one of best reciter on your mobile
/landline/VoIP while reading the Holy Book.
Gives translation of Arabic verses to local language like Hindi, Urdu, Malyalam,
Telugu, English, French,etc for better understanding.
Ability to set a block of verses on repeat for memorizing it.
Services will be kept on 24x7.
Target Customer/Market (or Opportunity)
In India almost every person uses telephones (Mobile, landline, VoIP) including rural areas
however many of them are not subscribed to internet facility. It gives apt opportunity to our
team to give them services with their existing assets without upgrading any technology.
Voice calls will be enough to interact with our remote server to get translations in local
language while reading the text book of Qur’an. Muslim student, scholar, learner and
everyone who want to learn shall be our client.
Operational Plan
All the intermediate communication links between client and server will be provided by local
telecom operators for establishing voice calls. User will be provided with an IVRS telephone
number for putting forward his/her demand to our server which works on technologies such
as auto answering, Text to Speech (TTS) conversion, DTMF decoding and many others.
A standard text book of Qur’an (printed by King Fahad Printing Press, Madina al
munawwarah) comprises of few hundred numbers of pages with page number & verse
number printed. After connecting the call successfully reader shall use these page numbers
and verse numbers to command IVRS for Tajweed and translation. However, predefined
language code and service code has to be enter along with page no and verse no to get
specific service in response (e.g. language code 01 for Hindi, language code 02 for Urdu and
so on).

At server side, few parallel landline telephones has to be hired on monthly or yearly rental
basis with some special exchange facilities. Computer systems, database management
software, TTS conversion tools, pronunciation tools, translator etc are also required to fully
equip the server.

Marketing Plan
Using social media for marketing can enable small business looking to further their reach to
more customers. Our customers are interacting with brands through social media and search
for effective Qur’an learning applications; therefore, having a strong social media presence
on the web is the key to tap into their interest. Also, other marketing strategies such as web
hosting, advertisement banners, advertisement on local city bus and local news papers etc
may be implemented. Moreover, we intend to extend our services to remotest location
through institutional collaborations and not-for-profit campaigns.
Our complete marketing plan would be based on the market segment we are trying to focus,
market perception mapping, customer interests etc. Most of our service features are likely to
emerge out as Point of Differentiation (PoDs) for our business. We look forward to a great
launch of our service though domestic market of India extending it gradually to across the

Quickly find the pronunciation of verses of Qur’an and its translation in local

In India, nineteen languages are spoken in different parts. So, this would be useful
for all the people if all these languages will be included in the database.
Future Scope
Information Technology and Communication is the new and the most captivating sector of
the modern world. Every people and each of organizations are been fascinated by it. We
utilize these technologies for implementation of new methods of language translation,
pronunciation and speech processing for good language translating programs for our system.
These techniques will continue to grow; the function of voice calls, DTMF (Dual Tone
Multiple Frequency), VoIP and internet based programs will improve as the demand
increases to fulfill the thirst of informational society.
Further, new upcoming techniques may be implemented to the system for better voice quality
and fast response. Internet based calls may spread our services worldwide.
Also, with a certain part of our capital investment, we intend to promote our business
through Offline advertisements in public gatherings, institutions, organizations etc. We may
deal to get connect with some of the top Islamic universities for providing services to their
students.
Secondly, in order to overcome congestion problem, we intend to extend our services on
multiple lines at Server Level in future as we grow further.
