7. Description of unpaid public benefit activities: Conducting comprehensive activities in the field of

tolerance and social acceptance of people with disabilities, activities in the field of charity, health and
social welfare, vocational and social rehabilitation, as well as the education of children with disabilities,
affected by impairments of development as well as children with special educational needs. Carrying
out activities aimed at maintaining and promoting national tradition, cultivating and developing
national consciousness, civic and cultural; actions for national and ethnic minorities.

The project "Children's Disability" refers to the organization and conduct:
1.Expert Diagnosis - Pervasive Developmental Disorders children, including early childhood
autism, Asperger's syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, hyperkinetic movement disorders
special educational needs,
2.Specjalized diagnosis - causes of failure in education
3.Specjalized, therapeutic activities, and educational services for children experiencing
disability or at risk of disability.
The project is also included specialized, educational and therapeutic support to the families of
these children. Special classes for children with disabilities or at risk of disability and their
families will be carried out using various forms and methods of support, whose task it: the
acquisition, improvement and maintenance of skills needed to act independently, correct and
efficient communication, implementation to perform a social role - a man inscribed in the
reality in which he lives. Parents and you will build a specific interpretations to the child's
disability, to acquire new skills of effective educational influence and education, to find
methods and ways to cope with stress arising from the experience of the child's disability.

Implementation of the project " Children's Disability " is a response to one of the most
important contemporary issues - the place of the disabled , at risk of disability in society. The
idea is to contribute to solving the problems of the local community to which the aspect of
disability.
The project aims to:
1. To enable the implementation of a multifaceted and multidisciplinary diagnosis of
Pervasive Developmental Disorders children from the area Kociewie - district Starogard,
Tczew, Gniew.
Until now, children exhibiting abnormal development characteristics: suspected autism,
Asperger's syndrome, suspicion of autism spectrum disorders, the risk of hyperkinetic
syndrome, dyslexia, developmental abnormalities in the development of speech, after the
specialist opinions had to go to centers distant from the residence. This was due to high
costs, stress, organizational problems. Over the waiting time for such studies and the
opinion it was unusually long.
2. Embrace children with disabilities or at risk of disability from the area Kociewie, as well as
their families, multi-faceted specialist care: therapeutic and educational. The project
participants will be children under 16 years of age and their families. The beneficiaries will be
residents of counties Starogard and others from the area of province. Pomeranian. Specialized
classes diagnostic, therapeutic and education will improve the current functioning child with
a disability or at risk of disability and his family. Children with disabilities or at risk of disability
they will learn how to actively benefit from full participation in society, and their loved ones
will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively impact education and rehabilitation
in the family, will become ambassadors for the rights of people with disabilities to full and
active life. Their activities will contribute to changing the established paradigm socially
interpretation of disability - perceptions of people with disabilities as specific "outsider’s" by
local communities. Participation in specialist therapeutic activities requires that children have
appropriate documentation to verify disability or threat of disability. It could be:
• Ruling on disability - issued by the District Team. Deciding on Disability
• Opinion about the need for early intervention Millennium Development Team issued by
the opinion-Psychological-Pedagogical (in accordance with the provisions of the Education

Hence, an important element of the project is the diagnosis, which will be carried out relevant
research projects based on psychological tests allowed by law, pedagogical, speech.
After obtaining the opinion of the child's parents, they will not only be able to participate in
special activities, but also be able to ask the competent institution to issue appropriate
decisions confirming the risk of disability, disability child. In turn parents receive specialist
support and knowledge essential for proper functioning of the family of a child with
developmental.
The project provides for the organization and implementation of the following measures:
• Individual therapeutic and educational activities for children: psychological , educational ,
speech therapy , educational, other depending on the needs and organizational capabilities
• Individual consulting and educational activities for parents parents- individual consultations
with a psychologist
• Parents Support Group Meetings
• Diagnosis of specialist children in the Pervasive Developmental Disorders : Autism , Asperger
syndrome , hyperkinetic syndrome
• The diagnosis of the causes of school
All classes will be appropriately documented , will be conducted monthly evaluation of
progress made by the child . It is assumed that each child will participate in one hour classes
per week , which gives four hours of classes a month. The child's parents are participants of
all individual lessons as well as group run by professionals with the child. Parents also will
participate in individual consulting and educational activities conducted by a psychologist in
the dimension of one hour per month. Special classes for children will be implemented based
on individual treatment programs , and each job will be described in the “Report of Visits”.
The report of the visits will contain information about the run impact , the recommendation
to work at home and signatures of leading specialist and parent interaction . Similarly,
individual meetings will be documented consultation and education of parents with a
psychologist . All persons carrying out therapeutic activities and education with adequate
preparation and experience as evidenced by appropriate documents . In this group are :
1.psychologist -3. persons
2.educator – 4. persons
3.specialist speech therapy 1. person
4. teacher appointed – 1. person
All have additional qualifications - educator of mentally disabled persons
(oligofrenopedagog) , a special education teacher , therapy specialist speech disorders of
neurological substrate (neurologopeda) , a specialist in early development support and
rehabilitation specialist educational therapy . One person completed specialist training in
cognitive- behavioral therapy , two people undertook specialist training three- behavioral
therapy .
Diagnosis of pervasive developmental disorders , causes of school failures will be based on :
1. A team of specialists : a psychiatrist or pediatric neurologist , psychologist, educator of
mentally disabled persons (oligofrenopedagog) or a special education teacher , , therapy
specialist speech disorders of neurological substrate (neurologopeda) .
2. Diagnosis of Pervasive Developmental Disorders will be based on approved legislation
specifying tests : the child's level of intellectual functioning , the scale of development , the
development of cognitive- linguistic sphere .
3.Psychological observation, pedagogical observation, speech therapy, medical
consultations.
On the basis of the collected material will be possible to establish the correct diagnosis, and
this in turn will allow for the introduction of specific therapeutic procedures individually
matched depending on the problems faced by the child.
9. Description of needs:
EFFECTS OF THE PROBLEM
Conducted analysis allows to determine the areas from which the naming of the real
problems - diagnosis of needs:
• Lack of interdisciplinary, coordinated action for the child with a disability or at risk of
disability
• Low capabilities and access to the use of a comprehensive and systematic support in the
diagnosis of the child and his family
• No systematic and coordinated educational and therapeutic impact for parents of children
with disabilities or at risk of disability
• Dysfunctions of environmental perception of disability and negative self-interpretation of
the parents of a child with a disability or at risk of disability
• Late start the process of child support and individual education of parents
WILL:

• Reducing the degree of independence of the child

RESPONSE TO THE PROBLEM:
The reaction to the problem is the organization and implementation of special measures to
support children with disabilities or at risk of disability entitled. "Children's Disability". The
project responds to the needs of the environment is also a continuation of the previously
implemented by our association projects. Implementation of the project provides for
coverage specialist impacts children with disabilities or at risk of disability, as well as their
families. For this purpose, certain procedures to ensure that the organization of such
activities.
1.The procedure for acceptance of the child to the programparents of a child with a disability or at risk of disability in the form of a written report their
will to join the project by filling: PROPOSAL ABOUT PARENT CHILD PLACING specialized care
organized in the framework of the project. The application shall be annexed documents
certifying disability or threat of disability, or other document confirming the need to cover
child support. The Management Association issues a written notice of the adoption of the
child and his family to participate in the project.
2. Procedure specialized courses –
for children with disabilities or at risk of disabilities - it is assumed that the project will be
attended by children with disabilities or at risk of disability under the age of 16 years from
the district Starogard and other counties from the area of province Pomeranian.
Each child will carry out specialized activities depend on the needs: classes psychological or
pedagogical, or speech therapy or another depending on the needs and organizational
capabilities. Operation of any of the children will be based on Therapeutic Program. An
important aspect of our therapeutic activities will be conducted in writing, once a month
evaluation of progress made by the child. It is assumed that each child will participate in
special classes one hour a week, a month and gives a number of four hours of classes:
Classes will be documented in the "Report of the visit ', which will include the information on
the forms of support, recommendations for further work, the signature specialist lecturer
and parent signature.
3. The procedure of consultative-educational classes for parentseveryone from parents, of Which the child will be categorized for the project will be able to
attend individual meetings with the psychologist. Such meetings will be held in the
menstrual cycle in the dimension of one hour and will have character of the consultation or
supervision, or supports - in Accordance with the needs. At least one parent will be
attending These meetings.
4.Parents Support Group Meetings:
in the course of the project, parents of children with disabilities or at risk of disabilities will
be able to participate in meetings of the Parents Support Group. The group will be
consolidation, parent education, exchange of experience and mutual building a sense of
community, as well as assigning tasks to carry out in the future. It is assumed that in each
month of the project will be carried out one, three-hour meeting of the Support Group
The project "Children's Disability" is part of the measures included in:

10.Beneficiaries:
The addressees of the project are children with disabilities or at risk of disabilities of various
etiologies, including children with so-called. perinatal risk under the age of 16 years with the

will also families of children qualified for the project.
11.The aims of the project:

12. Expected results:
The project envisages the realization of the goals will contribute to improving the quality of
life of a child with a disability or at risk of disability and his family. Increased availability of
diagnostic, therapeutic and educational alleviate the negative effects of disability or threat
disabilities, will contribute to equal educational opportunities for children, will increase the
level of knowledge of parents about the problems of children and decrease the risk of social
exclusion and environmental isolation.
It is assumed that the implementation of the various tasks that the project will bring the
following results:
- Hard results:
• Children exhibiting features of Pervasive Developmental Disorders, special educational
needs will be able to carry out specialist diagnosis based on professional testing and
research materials in the Kociewie, which will not require travel to distant specialist centers.
• Each child has therapeutic support (psychological or pedagogical, or speech therapy, the
other depending on the needs and organizational capabilities) correction level of disordered
function
• Every child has the ability to correct social functions by participating in group activities
• Each parent will have the opportunity of consulting and educational meetings with a
psychologist
• Each parent will have the opportunity to take part in meetings of the Group Support
