Implementation of the project " Children's Disability " is a response to one of the most important contemporary issues - the place of the disabled , at risk of disability in society. The idea is to contribute to solving the problems of the local community to which the aspect of disability. The project aims to: 1. To enable the implementation of a multifaceted and multidisciplinary diagnosis of Pervasive Developmental Disorders children from the area Kociewie - district Starogard, Tczew, Gniew. Until now, children exhibiting abnormal development characteristics: suspected autism, Asperger's syndrome, suspicion of autism spectrum disorders, the risk of hyperkinetic syndrome, dyslexia, developmental abnormalities in the development of speech, after the specialist opinions had to go to centers distant from the residence. This was due to high costs, stress, organizational problems. Over the waiting time for such studies and the opinion it was unusually long. 2. Embrace children with disabilities or at risk of disability from the area Kociewie, as well as their families, multi-faceted specialist care: therapeutic and educational. The project participants will be children under 16 years of age and their families. The beneficiaries will be residents of counties Starogard and others from the area of province. Pomeranian. It is assumed that each child will participate in one hour classes per week , which gives four hours of classes a month. The child's parents are participants of all individual lessons as well as group run by professionals with the child. Parents also will participate in individual consulting and educational activities conducted by a psychologist in the dimension of one hour per month. Special classes for children will be implemented based on individual treatment programs , and each job will be described in the “Report of Visits”. Diagnosis of pervasive developmental disorders , causes of school failures will be based on : 1. A team of specialists : a psychiatrist or pediatric neurologist , psychologist, educator of mentally disabled persons (oligofrenopedagog) or a special education teacher , , therapy specialist speech disorders of neurological substrate (neurologopeda) . 2. Diagnosis of Pervasive Developmental Disorders will be based on approved legislation specifying tests : the child's level of intellectual functioning , the scale of development , the development of cognitive- linguistic sphere . 3.Psychological observation, pedagogical observation, speech therapy, medical consultations.
